Snoopy
Our woodworkers club has been invited back to a Local university's Christmas celebration event. This years theme is "Charlie Brown's Christmas". I plan to use this converted, and never sold, bird house as a display at our table.(We give away about 250 toys to the kids attending).

Box with rounded sides and inlay
I saw a video on line showing how to make this box with rounded sides and lineal inlay all around the four sides of the box. Mine is a little different than the one in the video but that video gave me the idea for this project. This box measures 6"x8"x2" deep. I put a Magnolia blossom...

Biggest sale day of the year.
I had my biggest sale of the year, this past Saturday. I sold over thirty boxes and over one hundred twenty $5 toys. These once a year sales work very well because they are well attended by shoppers. Lots of children at this event.

Yet another inlay
One of my customers requested that I make a box for them with a magnolia blossom inlaid into the lid. This is what I came up with. I made five of them because I like it and think others may like it also. I got the image through an image search on the web. Flower is made of maple and Bois'darc and leaves...

His first inlay attempts
I received an email from a stranger asking for instruction on doing wood work and I set up a meet with him and we have been working/playing together in my shop for about a month now. He decided to try doing some inlay so I set him up on a project he liked and he tried cutting it. Well watching him...

Wall hung inlay, Wedding couple
This is a wall hung plaque that was ordered last week. 16" tall 3/8" cedar with maple inlay. Letters are Mesquite. The angel was a bit tricky to to but I did get it on the first try. I put the lettering inside the smaller heart so that while cutting it I did not have to swing the larger...

Hello from Central Texas
My name is Dave, I hail from Central Texas, near Waco.
I have been building furniture and cabinets for over 25 years. I am just getting back into it, as I took a two year hiatus.
My favorite woods are QSWO, Texas mesquite, and Hawaian Koa when I can get my hands on it.
I have done...

Newbie inlay question
I would like to inlay a design in the middle of a 3ft long board.
Since the table is angled, how am I supposed to spin it?
I have a #3 spiral blade but the edge is jagged.
Suggestions?

Coin Inlay Experiment
This was pure experimental to try to determine if it was possible to inlay a piece of one coin into another. So the inlay isn't of a meaningful shape (started out trying to cut Lincolns profile, but could not see it well). With 0/2 blades and an angle just a hair short of 10 degrees, the fit was flush...Last edited by hotshot; 10-12-2013, 12:43 AM.

resin inlay
Recently made a project with some seashells incased in resin on the lid of a box. Made some with insects too. I want to try some more, but can't think of what to do. Just wanted to know if anyone else has ever tried resin anything with resin. Not necessarily a scroll saw question, but thought this would...
