G'day Frank,
I use a bright white inkjet paper 110gsm. I find that if I coat the finished product with a couple coats of glass Lacquer, I don't need to use Photo paper. Being a thinner paper it is not made up of laminations so that problem is solved.

I use an airbrush for certain things and usually use waterbased acrylic paints. The reason the oil and lacquer type paints go on better is the size of particles used to make the colour is much finer than acrylics. Gloss acrylics spray much better than satin of flat because of the texture of the flattening...

I couldn't agree more about buying local products.
I really get dark when I see something branded (Australian Owned) or with an icon like the Kangaroo, only to read the fine print and find it's made in China.
The big problem we have here, is our manufacturing industries have been so depleted...

Supa dooper job on all of them. Love the fluro colours.
If you have a lathe, I've seen giant turned pencils with a rows of holes along one side to hold crayons/pencils.
I'm sure You'll get rid of all of those at the Fair

I use blue or green masking tape, and then glue my pattern on to the tape using a standard glue stick.

I build up the material using another piece of 3 or 6 mm then use small screws to hold the hangers.
