    Soild Popar

I am looking for some input on cutting poplar 2"x2". I am trying my hand at compound cutting of Chess pieces. My choose of wood is more economics then grain or texture. My problem is that the cutting is very slow and I am having to change the blades quit often because of how slow it cuts....

    Hello Daniel
When you say a magnifing glass with a light. I that a hold in your hand or is it the type that clamps to the bench top. If it is a hand held they will be right about the sweet spot.
If is the type that clamps there should be no problems seeing through that type.
