cherry Tree
Just a word of warning. Be careful if you are going to order anything from Cherry Tree. I ordered the plans for 3 trucks and the parts kit (almost $20) and the kit didn't include all the parts to build the 3 trucks. The plans had a large staple through the center of them and I had to pull it out with...

Newer Format
Is it just me or is SSW&C Forum & Blogs getting terribly complicated? I'm not sure where to post finished scroll saw projects and how to read all my posts. I'm not even sure where to find the addresses/names of all the subscribers to the Forum & Blogs.

I'm not so sure it's a great deal. It's only a 22" with no maglite or foot switch. I have a 226VS with a lite and foot switch I'd sell for $400 to anyone close enough to come and get it.

When that happens to me I am usually pushing the wood sideways instead of straight into the blade. That will bend the blade and make uneven cuts.

Vise Grips
I use Vise Grips with the longer deeper jaws. I think they're called sheet metal clamps. You just have to use a scrap piece of wood to keep from denting the piece you're drilling. If this doesn't help, let me know and I'll take a picture of them and where you can buy them.

Such an easy and common sense fix!! I've been fighting with small veins and/or large entry holes for years. I am now working on a project to try it on.
Many thanks for such an easy fix!

Sue Mey
I have done business with Sue Mey (scroll saw patterns) at least twice and I have to say that she is an absolute joy to do business with. I would heartily recommend her to anyone needing a pattern.

My set is from Conover. It consists of 2 sizes: 1/2 & 3/4". Each size has 1 thread box. a starting tap and a bottoming tap. My method was to coat the dowel in mineral oil and proceed very slowly, cleaning out the thread cutting very often by backing the thread box/tap out just as you would...

That is just an excellent job!!! Isn't it nice when a project turns out as nice as yours did?

I personally think that is very high for what you are getting. If you lived near Racine, WI I have a Hawk 226 vs with a foot switch I would sell for $400. (The vs stands for variable speed). And my saw is less than 10 years old.

The saw not starting immediately is called a soft start. I found that out with my Hawk G4. Not sure if that is what is happening on other makes of saw.

Use what ever height is comfortable for you. I have a back problem so I have several pieces of 2 x 4 under the feet of the table. Just make sure that all 4 feet are solid. The saw doesn't have to be level, just so the weight is evenly distributed on the feet.

I thought some one was going to fix it so the jokes would be included in the regular forum pages? Why are they hidden in a different section?

Can I ask you why you use so much pressure? If I go to 25 psi, that is a lot of pressure for me....
