Bunny Candy Dispenser (video link)
Good Morning!! Last weekend I finally finished my Bunny Candy Dispenser!! I made him out of Aspen for the body, Luan for the legs, tail, ears and arms and Pink Dogwood for the nose and eyes. Ok I will get some shellac then. As long as I can use the spray. I tried I think it was Bulls Eye shellac that I mixed with dentured alcohol and I did not get long with it very well! I will look for some in spray form. hope to get this guy done before Easter!!! Thanks so much for all your help...Leave a comment:

I thought about that Dan. I think part of the reasoning is to make it nice and smooth as that will help the candy to feed properly. Do you think I could use a mixture of mineral oil and paraffin wax??? I don't have beeswax but I do have paraffin. That would sure make it smooth!!!! What do you guys...Leave a comment:

Is the spray shellac safe? I know about the kind you mix up, but don't have any of either kind. I think it would be easier to get the spray kind though. Unfortunately that means my project will not get done for awhile. One of the disadvantages of living in a rural community!!!Leave a comment:

Is it safe to use lacquer on candy dispenser?
I'm trying to make Bob Bloodworth's "The Bunny" candy dispenser (which you can see here) and I'm at the part of "finishing" the inside. He says to "spray lacquer of choice on internal parts". This will be where the candy rests waiting to be dispensed. I know this question... -

Frustration with getting the wood flat
I am getting so frustrated! I have always had a hard time getting my wood flat. I have watched countless videos on jointing and planing lumber, but I still have problems. I bought a Powermatic jointer thinking that would help, nope!!

I think you're talking about the Mac mop. I got mine from Klingspor woodworking and I have it mounted on a drill press. Hopes this helps!...Leave a comment:
