Scrolled knives
I've seen some patterns offered by Sue Mey on her site that are knives, hunting and some military themes. Has anyone tried these? I think they might be a good item for my booth that I have at a large craft mall. I'm interested especially in the military themes. The blade section is sanded and I think... -

Cutting stand-up puzzles
I have tried to cut some stand-up puzzles (like woodimals) in the past and have had very poor results. The puzzle pieces do not slip in and out nicely at all. Any pointers on how top do this better? Wood selection? Blade selection? I have a Dewalt saw.

Glueing magnets
I've gotten a hold of some rare earth magnets and some magnets on a strip of sticky paper. I'd like to make some refrigerator magnets out of scrap pieces that I have. What is the best way to glue the magnet to the wood? I've heard of CA glue but I'm not sure exactly what that is. What are some brand... -

I first want to thank everyone for all the great comments and suggestions from my post last week about my word art plaques that all curved up badly. The strange thing is that now that they have been in my home for 6 days they are all straightening up, every one, even the ones that curved up real bad.... -
Those are some very nice looking bowls. I've been cutting some bowls like that myself lately. I have seen bowls of that style that are oblong and square, anyone know where there are patterns for something like that?

Cutting thick stock
I'm looking for some advice on cutting thick stock. I'd like to make some wood toy cars that can be up to 1- 1/2" thick. I have a Dewalt 788 saw. What is a good wood to use? Blade? Speed? Is there any way to make it so it does not sound like a freight train when I'm cutting? Any help would be much... -
On a similar point, if any of you are in Wisconsin visiting the Wisconsin Dell's, which is a major tourist attraction, they have a huge craft mall, 230 booths, with all kinds of crafts including several scrollers, of which I am one. If your in the area, check it out!

I have the advantage of living less than 50 miles away from Occooch hardwoods. I've been there and met the family that runs the place, they also have a cabinet making business. They are great people.
