Thanks for the tips, but now I'm going to have to ask questions about them.
When you do stack cutting, how do you get the blade on the inside of the board without leaving a drill hole, or do you just cut into the board and then use the sawdust finishing to cover it up?

First Project: Can I fix this?
So today I sat down, and I started cutting out my first project. I tried to make a coaster. But when I put the insert into the other piece, the light lines were much more noticeable than I thought. How does everyone else get around this? Will the wood swell up and fill out if I stain it?

Miniature Hinges
Hey everyone,
I'm trying to make a small box, but I can't seem to find the right hinges. I'm looking for something around dollhouse size furniture hinges. The smallest I have been able to find are 1/4", but smaller would be better. I tried googling and looking in the places I...

That's incredible how quiet it is. The only scroll saw I have used to compare...

Light and Quiet
Hello Everyone,
I have been interested in getting a scroll saw, but I am having a few problems picking one out. I live in an apartment, with three other roommates, so that sort of changes the criteria for "the perfect saw." I am looking for something quiet, so I do not disturb...

Great information! I think I will try the staining/painting method first, because it will most likely be cheaper, but maybe after I have a few more projects under my belt I will try one with cedar. Thanks, and I'll try to post a picture of it this weekend.

Intarsia Wood
Hey Everyone,
I am interested in starting an intarsia project, but I am not quite sure what type of wood to use. I have seen a lot of beautiful projects that use only different shades or red cedar. Does anyone know of a website that sells 1/4" thick red cedar, in small pieces so...
