Tried both
I owned a Hegner for over 11 years and loved it. Expensive but worth it. However, I sold it and went to an EX-21(Excaliber) for the many features it had to offer. Less expensive and has many options I wished the Hegner had. Arm Tilt, up front controls, larger table, deeper...

Drum sander
Hi Tony,
Question you need to ask yourself as a hobbyist is 'Will I be doing any flat work in the future involving wide boards.' And since $$ is no object take a close look at the drum sander.

Excellent information Carol.
I have already ordered your book and look forward to making bowls on the SS in the very near future. I will start with simple but now have this info to expand on. Should be great gifts for B-Day and X-mas.
Thank you.

I just tried that website and my ZoneAlarm advised and quarantined the virus 'Trojan-clicker.JS.Iframed.dd'. This however may be a False-Positive. This based on just a little research on it but a good idea to quarantine it for now.

How thick is the wood? For 1/2"-3/4" you may need to try a #3 or maybe even a #1. For 1/8"-1/4" I use #2/0 puzzle blade or #1.

I thought...

Appears to be a Deluxe of a vintage 1958 Wen model 920 zip electric jig saw. Anyway that is what I found on the internet. That is cool. hang on to it if it works.

I think it is a personal preference. The company says the stabilizers will extend the life of the mop so I have mine on. They came with the mop set, this was a few years back. I find that they do contain the sanding strips well since I just use the outer edges of the sanding strips the mop should last...
