    Christmas Ornaments

Well, believe it or not, it is time to get ready for our Christmas shows! I am going to start replenishing my ornament inventory tomorrow! Do not want to get caught short like last year! My first show to display the Christmas items will be in early September, so, time to get after it! I do not display...

Rolf, my house is on high ground, but, several acres of my pasture has flooded from the creek that runs near our property. I haven't been able to shred at all this year, so the weeds and unwanted grasses have taken over. My corrals are stinking from mud and horse wastes not being able to dry up. We...

    Floods in Texas

Need your prayers for us in Texas, especially around the Houston area. It has rained almost every day for 3 weeks and flooding is found in almost every county. Here in NE Texas, the rivers are at flood stages and main highways are being shut down. Lives have been lost, and homes and businesses destroyed....

  • I use FD-UR #1 and #3 probably most of the time. On 1/8 and 1/4 stack cuts I use the #1 and on 1/2" the #3. I do use the #5 sometimes on 1/2", depending on the pattern. I do use the #5 and #7 on 3/4".

    replied to Drill bits.....
I use a #68 bit and put a micro bit chuck in my drill press. I put the shank as far as possible into the chuck and turn it on before drilling to make sure it is not "walking". These micro bits are easily broken, especially if not properly fitted into the chuck.

    replied to Buying Scroll Saw
Congrats on your new saw! I have the EX21, purchased from Ray @ Seyco and love it and the service from Ray! I purchased some on-line blades in the beginning, but, did not like how they cut, so I switched to FD. I may in the future try some Olson blades, since that is what Ray sells.

    replied to stack cutting question
I have tried most of the ways mentioned above, but, always come back to the blue painters tape. I don't wrap the entire stack, just the top and enough around left and right edge to hold and then I use short short strips on top and bottom edges. Then glue the pattern to blue tape. I drill a pilot hole...

Very nice! And a special thanks to all you pattern makers who are willing to share and help those of us who just can't seem to grasp the art of pattern making. I have all the software programs downloaded, but, just cannot seem to make the concepts work!

I too am building a Facebook business page, but, I also found out that the state comptroller office here in Texas views a lot of business pages and if they see items for sale, they will check to make sure you are paying your sales tax on them when they sale. I do pay my sales taxes, so I have no problem...
