It's been a while...
Yes it's been a while since i posted but I do occassionally take a look at what's happening online. Had my grandchildren visiting over Christmas / new year and I must say i was most impressed how the 6yr old could cut and it was the first time he had been on the saw! Such a pity when distance dictates... -
Wellit is said that to slow down the ageing process e shouldbe trying something new every day. Now I/m getting near retirement years and have to keep up todate with all this new techno stuff with working in a school. I have to work very hard at it!!! Thekids get it easy!! I like it! I decided to make some rubber band guns at a woodworking weekend once and they were getting used as soon as each one was finished.... so much fun.... big boys are still LIttle boys at heart. I turn the cover over to reveal the contents page and pop it in a plastic bag and then into a magazine file box. this way I can slip any copied pages into the bag as well. oh and I write on the bag the issue number as another quick reference. I have used a footswitch fromthe time I started scrolling and now we use them on the drill press and bandsaw. The pressure on to go type. Using one with the drill press helps to get very accurate holes!Leave a comment:

Thanks for the suggesstion but we're getting closer. We found there was too much play between the rods and centre holes of the wheels so have replaced the rods with larger dia ones and drilled out the holes to fit. Now the pallet is not so confused and driving it all in the correct direction. I just...Leave a comment:

Don't know what we've done wrong. Without the weights attached all the wheels want to turn in the proper direction as per the video but once the pallet is attached the escape wheel wants to run in the opposite direction.
