You can download inkscape and then search for tutors on this very thing that you are wanting to do. I use it and it's free of course and works great when it comes to curving or manipulating wording for patterns. I myself am to tied up with orders and designs right now to do this pattern for you but...

I'm glad you figured it as I don't use this to do my wording I usually use gimp and pencil.

Bob, once you type the text and put it where you want you have to group them together as the oval is one layer and the text is another layer and you need to make them one layer along the top of the inkscape window there is where you will see the "Group" icon it's closer toward the middle....

I usually use like 1/4" for my ornaments and use popular and oak. For one reason as it cuts better and also it weighs less so won't weigh the tree limb down. The thickest I've used on a scroll is 1" and I used a #5 heavy duty blade and turned the speed down to half and I use the porter cable...

I use both style clamps from HF. The ratchet and the screw type as well sometimes use the wooden ones. I've got a variety of them in different sizes and have had no problems from them. I almost use some on a daily basis. I would say they are great with the price they are onsale or even not onsale they...

I started out using this saw when I first started. It's an ok saw to start with and there are some that still use this as their main saw. Since you're buying a used one I would take a piece of wood with you and try it out good before buying it. You might also look it over good for rust and over wear....

You can change the size in gimp using the "scale image" under image tab. However it won't allow you to print in that size. You are limited to what sizes your printer will print. You may be able to use a program called "Rapid sizer online" to print in the size you are wanting. I use...

Unfortantly, Wiley Coyote is copyrighted so it can't be posted here. However, you could look for images yourself and may find something that way. I remember seeing a pumpkin carving pattern somewhere of Wiley. Also, someone may take that pattern on but would have to send it to you in private. Sorry,...

I found a place here where I live that was in the business of doing catalogs for others and they took the ones I had which was something like 8000 patterns and made a nice looking catalog and only charged me 150 for doing them and told me when I got another 100 ready bring them in and they would update...

There are a bunch of ways to market I won't get into that one but as far as the copyright thing, take a stamped envelope and mail yourself a copy of the pattern then keep the pattern in the envelope until it's needed for showing the copyright. It's not the actual way of doing the copyright thing but...

My saw which is the same as yours done the same thing after I first used it. What I did was realign the blade holders where they conect to the arms I also while doing that made sure every point that could be loosened and tighten I checked it all out without taken the saw apart. Once I done that it worked...

On your question: YES I've had some luck at selling them. However, most have come from custom designed ones. Meaning, each order they've wanted their own design so I've had to design the patterns myself which at first was kinda hard but it has gotten easy with each one. Upside is I am able to charge...

I also have this scrollsaw. I don't know how to fix the blower b/c the first thing I did when I got mine was unhook the blower end from the blower and hooked it up to a fish tank pump. I've always done this as with the built in blower it only worked good if the speed of the saw was all the up. Sorry...

I took a go at your request but couldn't get anything worth a pattern from it. It's kinda small. If you have a better and bigger picture I will be more than happy to try and get a pattern for you. Sorry.

I done this last year and it went great. Like the idea for personal gifts. For others there was too much work involved for what I charge for my ornaments to make it really worth making and no one wanted to pay for the price increase so not doing it this year. It's a great idea and is something different...
