Hi Shawn. I am in the UK and I joined facebook some time ago. It has done me a lot of good. I have never had any spam. I do two craft fairs a week and I thought face book would give me an extra boost and it has done more than that. I get quite a few orders and also lots of invites to other craft fairs....

    What a headache

Hi Everyone. I moved home yesterday and I never realised what a major headache this would cause. We hired a big truck for the move thinking it would just take one trip to bring the bigger things as we had done many trips over the previous two weeks with the smaller items in our cars. It took two trips....

As Mike said, this was supposed to be a hobby. I to am working 16 hours a day here in the UK trying to keep up with demand. At a craft fair last week I had some of the specticle holders that Steve Good designed. I had 4 on display and 10 spare. I sold every one so I made 20 yesterday. I have 4 more...

The single speed is not an issue with a lot of scrollers. Even at top speed cutting 3/4 inch hardwood can be like watching paint dry. When I got my Hegner I had them up the speed to 1650 and it has made a huge difference.

    Another 788 question

Hi Everyone. I have a mark one 788 which has given many years of faitful service. L:ast year the motor packed up so I took the saw to my Dewalt dealer here in the UK and had the motor replaced. Soon after etting the saw back I started to get a knockin sound from what I think is the top arm.

  • I loved all the comments that have been made. I cannot count the number of people who have said they will be back. At every show I do people take a business card and over the last 12 months I must have got through well over 2000 and the number of people that have got in touch through my cards I could...

I take it you live in the UK, like me. I know a few people who have the AWFS 18 Hegner look-a-like. Some like it others hate it. At the end of the day you get what you pay for, it will never be as good as the real Hegner and if you were to buy it you would have to "tune" it. You will need...

Mowerman. I am in the UK so a lot of stuff that is available where you are is not available here and I suppose it works the other way round as well. The shop vac I have is made by Numatic and they have peoples names for the different models they do. I have two Henry's. Very quiet when running and justabout...

Thanks for all the comments. I used one of the shop vacs last week to clean round the home. On the top is a handle to re-wind the cable. I took it back to the shop and plugged it in and forgot to pull all the cable out. After a while working on the saw the shop vac stopped working, it had a thermal...

    Dust problems

When I first started using a scroll saw I was not happy with the dust problem and I was not happy having to wear a mask every time. My shop is my spare bedroom and despite having the door shut dust would find its way all over the house. I bought an air filter and this helped.

    Over the...

Its also the same as the one on my Hegner but if I ordered a replacement from Hegner it would cost many times more than the ones on Amazon.

  • I love the way you have made your extraction system. I have made something similar. I am in the UK and my shop vac is what we call a Henry made by Numatic, its very quiet in operation but my system is not as efficient as yours. I have a suction pipe connected to the air blower hose and another pipe...

Thanks for your comments guys. When I spoke to the customers who had no idea I did so jokingly and I then explained how long it takes to make things and sometimes 3 days just for the finishing. I get lots of orders at most of the craft fairs and sometimes I have time to make a coffee and have a sandwich...

    Dumb people

Last week at one of my craft fairs and during the course of the day I had three people come up to my stall and ask if they could order a name sign and could I make it straight away. As always I patted my pockets and said I seem to have left the 14 machines and power tools I use at home. Then yesterday...

Hi Mike. I hope you are keeping well and many thanks for your kind comments. I have a list in the stall that states to shipping cost for one or more items.
