Antori, thanks. 60 mph winds and sub-freezing temps kept me from going outside to shoot these, but great advice. not sure where in NY you are, but I know I am not going to get any sympathy from you, since our ground is clear.

More Metallic Paper
First, thank you AntoriP for your comments and suggestions.
The paper I am using is actually photo paper that WalMart printed. I did not check the brand, will do next time. Did two 16x20 prints and very minimal paper separation. only the very tip of about four pieces out of the...Last edited by wood-n-things; 02-15-2015, 10:53 AM.

Very very nice. I have done more than a dozen each of Ruth's frog and seascape puzzles - always fun. Only two of her flower puzzle since the painting took forever and a day.
Played around with maps of Virginia but haven't gotten the right mix yet. Easier copying than doing something...

Metallic Photo Paper - interesting results
Walmart now has a metallic photo paper, which I tried. I did an 8x10 photo and cut into 441 pieces and ZERO paper separation. When I use regular photo paper, I get a number of knobs where the photo paper separates.
It has a nice finish and looks good. But, naturally, the bad news....

AHA - just answered my own question. Went to Amazon and checked out the cartridges and saw you can get a variety of glues.

Question to all - Fay P "implies" (I think?) that it peels off easily which is great for attaching a pattern to wood, but not for a jigsaw puzzle where you want it permanent.
Comments?
Like the original thread, I have also had problems using Aileen on large (16x20 and...

yes, you have the patience. and I agree, one reason I don't sell any of my woodworking - my hourly pay alone would be less than wages paid in China.
love to see the puzzle when you complete

A solution for photo paper separation
With the exception of a few Christmas cards, all of my jigsaw puzzles are photographs. I have had the problem with the photo paper separating on some knobs. I take a little white glue and glue it back down, but if this is happening when I cut, it is sure to continue when taken apart and put back together....
