Scrollsaw Tape
I just wanted to point out a way to stack cut intricate fret work, not have a mess to clean up and not damage the wood. There is Scroll Saw Tape/Adhesive made by Action Tape ($20/ 8.5''x20ft.) (actiontapes.com) or from (Scrolleronline.com) that is terrific for this type of work it keeps all your pieces... -

Here is what I was working on. I used the # 3 blade. Finally Finished.
Frustrating at first, but worth the effort.... -
Just looked at a picture of the saw. Can you loosen the top nut that holds the pinned blade and move it to the right or left slightly until it squares to the table?Leave a comment:

the animals inside your puzzle, do you have a pattern you apply over the picture to cut them out, then freehand the rest?. Where did you get these small patterns for the animals?

I recently posted that I was having trouble with my Dewalt 788. Well I finally had success!
and thought I would pass what I did, in case others had the same problem. Some of it was the saw and some of it was my technique.

Try slowing down the feed rate. Perhaps the blade is getting too hot and causing it to become weak. are there burn marks on the wood? I would increase the tension by one notch. The blade might also be bending just slightly when turning the wood causing an increase in friction and heat.

What does it look like and how big of a belt is it? Would it be possible for you to use an automotive drive belt and modify it to fit. The serpentine belts come in all sizes?Leave a comment:

Problems with Dewalt 788
Has anyone had the misfortune of not being able to square the table with the blade? I have a square that I use.
I know the blade should be between the knob and the allen key screw and not on the side of the so it would get indented. It seemed square so I go to cut 3/4 inch walnut for a puzzle... -
Where is the pattern for that?
