  • Carole, as said before you are a true inspiration and I for one really appreciate all your input and project ideas!!!

I think I was falling in the trap of too much pressure and that is where my headaches were coming from and being such a perfectionists. I know I get frustrated on some...

Seriously tho, I hope you get to feelin' better and take it easy until you can get back to normal activities. Better to take some time to heal now than to have permanent damage. TAKE CARE OF...

  • Another beautiful project Carole!!! I have been playing with segmentation, but I think I started out with too big of ideas...need to go back to the basics. Are you cutting all your segments with the scrollsaw? Do you find any issues with the edges being true or is that where the numbering comes in handy...

  • Thanx so much Betty for the update. I have to say I actually like how the interview process was conducted...it tells me that the sponsors/organizers are real serious about quality HAND-MADE items...which is a pure delight in todays festival arena. It amazes me how they say it is a juried show and that...

Thanx so much everyone!!! I had intended doing this one as a WIP, but life got in the way of making sawdust and I had to get it out the door. Plus I had several other projects going at the same time…one was a how-to article for the fall issue of SSW&C. Not gonna post details yet, but I will...

    Hitting the scales…

on a fish that is!!! This is the first one in a series that I was commissioned to make for my dentist, as each of his rooms have a fish theme. The first room he chose was the ‘Tripletail’ room. Instead of using my traditional aboriginal style painting, dots, he wanted it similar to one I...

Thanx gals on the tips! I guess I missed that part in any of the other post on ebonizing....I thought it was because I didn't put enough on there. Question tho...if it is just for an effect...does it fade with time? I am using it on a box that will be sealed with Shellac and then Lacquer.
