My first open house an definitely not my last. Had a great time met some wonderful folks and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Coming all the way from Dallas was worth the effort in my opinion. I learned a lot of things, had a great experience in the hands on booth and think i will add Pyro to my list of things....

It is cut at same time the drawer is cut out, when doing a hidden drawer you cut front of the big drawer off first, then cut out the hidden drawer, then cut the back off the big drawer.

THe felt dots do 2 things .... they use up the space created by the kerfs so the drawers are flush with front of the box and the cushion the blow so to speak when you close the drawer makes it not so noisy. Also I use the dots as drawer stops stick them on the inside on the ceiling of the box close...

Tsunami
My latest Band saw box "Tsunami" design by Lois Keener Ventura made from Black Walnut with Black walnut pulls lined with Jer-Dan flocking. This is a 5 drawer box as there is a hidden drawer. Finished with a bunch of coats of poly gel from Rockler and 2 coats of paste wax.

I use a drill chuck on my motor adds some length but I cut off the threads and that helped shorten the shaft It works great I use the sand boss drums and they are fantastic thinking of buying the big one, much better than the flex drums( they wobble burn melt etc.) I have a General International motor...

Highly recommend both a flexible drum and a mop you can use both on your drill press just switch out when ready to final sand If you use a 120 grit for the shaping and a 180 for the final then you should be able to really fine sand to a 320 by hand and you will get beautiful results, when you use the...

I but my FD UR # 1 3 5 &7 s regular and when I place an order i just buy a dz of something different each time and now have lots of choices some I'll try and use and others not so much. Change blades often it will be the best investment in your skill you can find, it will really help you to keep...
