Trust that I LOVE doing intarsia and this pelican, the first time, was great. It is complex and has some very tiny pieces that can stretch patience. Glad you liked the finished product.

Another Pelican
Here's what I hope is the last #$%^& pelican for a while. Woods are mulberry, spalted maple, blue pine, aspen, poplar, yellowheart, sapele, walnut, pink dogwood, and cherry.

Try this: Run the saw at the slowest possible speed and put a piece of white paper on the opposite side of the blade from where you're standing. The odds are pretty good that the blade will look blurry and as if it is moving back to front as it's running. If that's the case, loosen the screws...Leave a comment:

If I need large patterns copied, I go straight to a blueprinter. They will copy any pattern to the exact size you specify and there is no distortion. After all, they do plans for very intricate building and machinery projects all the time. Not long ago I had a lighthouse pattern copied and asked...Leave a comment:
