Compound stool
Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I've been on this site. Still doing some scroll work but turning and bandsaw work.
I'm looking for a pattern for a 3D stool, I made one a long time ago as gag gift for my GP (Stool sample). I want to make one for my new GP. Thank you in advance...

Thanks your Floyd, Carol and Rolf for your comments. I'm going to have to buy some more kits as I only have two left. This pen is a cigar pen that I made from a slab of a walnut tree our land lord cut down about 5 or so years ago. I gave it to him for Christmas. It made a great gift and was a nice way...

Been busy with other projects
Hello Everyone
I have not been on the forum for a while at least not posting anything. I have not been doing other thing and on another forum International Association Of Penturners (IAP). Hi pinelog. Thanks for your comments. It's not hard to learn to turn pens....well at least not the slimline type which is what were being turned. I want to try my hand at some other type and there are a lot out there.

Turn for the troops
I'm not sure how many of you know about this program, it held a Woodcraft stores during the Veterans day weekend. I spent a few hours at the Virginia Beach/Norfolk Woodcraft taking part in the program. I'm learning to turn pens and this was the second time I was able to turn pens for our troops. The...

Very nice job on the bowl a real work of art. I dont know if I would have the patents to do a bowl like that after it got sent across the room my your drill press... we must have the same model as mind does the same thing. Could you send me a link to your blog so I see some more pictures.

Really nice job on the loader your really did the project justice. I have this pattern and I was planning on making a few for the grandkids but I'm not sure now sand to say we have one who likes to destroy things so that no one but him has it. Maybe in a few years.

Thanks everyone for the replies. A lot of good information to think about. I really dont have a lot of money to put out for a lathe, maybe $300.00 at most. I have looked through the local classified and Craigslist but there was nothing I would buy. Maybe I need to same my money and wait untill I have...
