    It can be done using just the scroll saw but I like to use my band saw for the long cut and scroll saw for the short cut on each one of these. I do this with most of the toys I make....

    I have never used one myself. I just wear +3 reading glasses. There are magnifying glasses with a light ring on it that can be mounted to any structure with a clamp. I bet Amazon has them.

    The boat and dozer I make from templates that I drew and made myself. Other patterns I search on the internet for pencil line drawings of whatever I need. Alter them a bit when necessary and make a template using Masonite. Like these: ...

    I buy 1"x12"x96" sugar pine at our local lumber yard. Make many of our toys using that. It is 2 1/2" wide and 7"long....

One of our recipients does not need any more at this time but we found four new (to us) charities that would like to receive toys from us, so we delivered...

    Because of the VERY slow sales year I have been making a lot of toys that our club gives to various charitable organizations. This is the latest.7" long made of 3/4" pine board. It floats upright and cannot be tipped over. I have made eight of these so far....
