Thanks Randy.. I was too in a hurry an should have soaked the coin in acetone longer and I broke the wood piece off. That other thing you mentioned when the pattern comes off spraying it with Hairspray an doing something else. I don't quite get that.

To share the pattern that I made in...

Randy, Here are a few pictures cutting without the jig. I'm glad I took your advice! Gluing the coins to thin stock and cutting is much easier. Better control and faster feeding the blade though the bottom.
I have been scroll sawing for about 20 years and I think I like cutting coins better. It's...

Here is a monogram quarter I made for a gift. I still have to drill a hole and put the keychain on it. Where is a good source to buy buffing wheels for the Dremel rotary tool? Thanks, Vinnie...

Randy, I picked out a pattern at that site to cut. I cut it on my DeWalt scroll saw using a wood jig.
I broke two drill bits and one blade. I set the saw to the slowest speed possible.
Where do you buy your drill bits? I'm finding that this is more fun than cutting wood.
    Thanks...

Randy, I made the jig Steve Good posted on his blog. It seems to work ok, just a little bulky. I did go through some quarters and some came out ok and some not ok. My wife seem to think they're ok. I told her she can wear them in the house but don't go anywhere with them on. Lol. You just know what's...

Hello Randy, Just saw this old post with the coins you cut. I am just getting started in coin cutting. My question to you is the coins you posted did you cut them from a jig or did you glue them down on thin plywood and cut? Nice job!!
    Thanks, Vinnie
