Outstanding Jim. I agree with Linda and Rolf, smaller is definitely not easier...even though you made it look so. A very fitting thank you to your friends family member.

  • Real nice job Scott. The staining looks great and I really like the way you changed the arch, the Nativity will be much easier to store if all the figures fit in the arc. Would you mind sharing the dimension you used for the extension???

Thanks for showing us your idea.

Great job Jim, nice choice on the script font for his name. Never heard of Black Poplar, but then again, I don't get around much

Scott, thanks for clearing up that issue.

Rolf, they are indeed a wholesale supplier of framing mouldings and supplies. Typically, we receive weekly van delivery form OMEGA but there has been a few times when i had to fill very important orders and we drove down to pick up our supplies....

Good morning Rolf. No, I don't know Lou Ann, but I'm sure she is a very good framer.
I do a fair amount of business with a major moulding supplier in Bellport. The name of the company is OMEGA moulding & framing supply, moderators, please remove the compnay name if it is inappropriate...

Thanks for the information Rolf. I'm happy for you and June that you don't get a bunch of broken ornaments. Last years mailing was crazy bad, even with the 2 pieces of mat board covering the ornament, I try not to dwell on bad thoughts, but someone had to crunch the envelopes pretty hard.

    Mailing ornaments

Rolf, you wrote the other day, that you and June mail out your Christmas card/ornament at the standard mailing cost and there is no additional postage charge. I assume that is because you use 1/16 Baltic Birch ply, which is not available in our area, in fact there is only one supplier Baltic Birch...

Great job on that beautiful Nativity set, Scott, and good use of available wood.

I am going to order the pattern and try to do some of the figures in diffwernent colored wood.

I am also waiting to see Rolf's arch pattern idea, even if I have to wait a year....

    Our 2020 Christmas Card

This is our 2020 Christmas card that we send out to 36 friends and family members. This tradition was started due to our good friend ROLF, who so graciously showed his beautiful Volker Arnold ornaments that he mails out and my wife saw his post 3 years ago and the rest is history.
