Reply to Park the scroll saw for awhileFirst, let me say those are beautiful! Second, I can tell you that on the Facebook laser forums those people have been hunting for sources on cutting and charcuterie boards to laser engrave various personalizations onto. Some are willing to pay for quality and the finished pieces show it. Others...

by scrollerpeteThere seems to be a demand for charcuterie and cutting boards so I decided to add a few to my inventory. The second one had the epoxy poured 30 minutes before the picture was taken.

Reply to Marc Tovar's MLT-13 Pendulum Dowelby evilbadgerBob where did the plan come from?

Reply to Marc Tovar's MLT-13 Pendulum Dowelby RolfI looked at the patterns in the making wooden gear clocks. As you said the materials list shows the dowel at 36". The counter weight is 5-1/4 . Odd that he is using a dowel as a counter weight.
I would leave the dowel at 36 " and have another piece for the counter weight.

What length should the 3/8" Pendulum dowel be? Under Materials it calls for a 36"-long 3/8" dowel. The 3/8" dowel Counterweight is approximately 5-1/8"- 5-3/16" long.. That leaves 30-1/4" of the 36" dowel. Is that the correct length? ...
