I started this tonight made out of 1 1/4” oak. Got a lot of sanding yet to do.

Very impressive especially with white oak that thick. That is not easy wood to scroll.

If I may suggest something. If you drill your entry holes closer to the corners of your internal cuts you can cut straight into the corners and eliminate those “bumps” you are trying to sand out.

Talked to her today. She’s still sick from chemo which isn’t unusual. Planning on going to New York on Thursday to spend time with her daughter and grand daughters. She said something about a big party before surgery.

I had considered useing a hot glue gun but I like to be able to reuse some of the bigger waste pieces. Also when I use brads and they extend through the bottom piece I am always carefull to take a small hammer and tap the points back up flush with the bottom piece so I do not scratch the table.

I use a pin nailer in the waste areas. The brad and pin nail guns are a wonderful thing.
