  • Deer Head Oval

I believe this was my third or forth project. It's cut from 3/4 inch sanded pine with 1/4 inch backer board. I used a FD #5 Ultra Reverse. The front was stained with Minwax natural and the backer was stained with dark walnut. The entire piece was sprayed with several coats of poly. The pattern is from Steve Good's collection.

Contrasting the fretwork from the back piece is spot on! Nicely done.

The contrasting wood colors really pop. Nice work. Thank you for sharing pictures.
