Bruce is cutting crosses and I’m doing this. Bottom is the pattern. Will be backed in black. Or maybe dark dark purple. Then will cut outline. Got the pattern from a guy on the other site.

Nice work, but I found it interesting that I did not know what the first one was, but when the second was a reverse image I saw it immediately. That has to say something about my brain, I'm just not sure what that would beJim

I still need to back it and cut the outline then it will make sense. Your brain is fine. It's mine I worry about sometimes!!Betty

I was the same way Jimern 😂
Betty, it just takes me awhile sometimes.
An acquaintance posted a joke on facebook the other day and had to explain the punch line to me. I hate to say it, but I still didn't get it. And despite the fact I like good jokes, now I can't even remember that one for the life of me. Guess I'm not meant to get some things!Linda at www.ArtIngrained.com

Now you see how I drive bruce crazy! I can’t decide if I want this side showing or the side under the pattern. When done, it will be backed and cut around the skulls. The cut version is in Scrollers site. Something different!Betty

I used the band saw with a 1/8" blade - not much different than the scroller but I have to use other methods to do the insides of the letters where the band saw can't reach. All the while, WISHING I had a scroll saw. and now, that I've got one, I'll be venturing back into dimensional...Yesterday, 07:21 PM

by handibunnyVery impressive work, John. I like the tooled leather look, the detailed calligraphy, and especially the rendition of the brushes and other tools that you use for your craft. It will be interesting to see how you incorporate the scroll saw into your work, and the opportunities it provides you.Yesterday, 06:31 PM

by John SmithThis is the finished project that I sort of "allured" to in my New Member post. The elements were cut out and attached individually in a "layered applique" fashion. Simple hand tools were used to add some "texture" to all of it. This is not wood or leather, it is HDU (High...Yesterday, 03:32 PM

Reply to New from Port Angeles Washingtonby Rodney BrownWelcome from NC. As a past drone pilot, I'd say take the scroll saw. the drone will become boring after a time where the scroll saw is only limited to the patterns you decide to cut.
