Haven't glued this up or sanded yet. It was definitely a hard one for me to cut... no room for error as the width of the box is only 1/8 for the most part. Pattern was designed by Steve Good http://www.stevedgood.com/squarebasket.pdf I am definitely going to have to make a donation to his site... so much good stuff there.

I justs used shellac for the finish... brush on. I have been having a hard time keeping the last coat of brush on shellac to look smooth... so I have been trying urathane and maybe spraying the final coat.Comment

That said, it is a multispeed blower that obviously has a controller board. That board varies the power to the motor. By doing what you did you bypassed that. You put power across the low and high windings. If any thing connecting...-
