  • Bunny Dishes WIP

    Hi all,

Here are a couple pics of the Bunny Dishes designed by Diana Thompson. I'm painting mine with pastel colors. These are the first ones I've cut.

Next ones will be modified just a bit. The ears are pretty fragile, I learned. Managed to snap off the tip of one bunny ear while lightly sanding the edges. That bunny now sports shorter ears. Still cute, tho'. I plan to modify the pattern to increase the width and depth of the ears for more stability.

The dishes were a breeze to make and..........I might just make some with lids and a small handle.

    Thanks, Diana!!

          Hi,

Thanks for the comments. They really are cute, and I hope the customers at the craft show think so and dig in their wallets. LOL

Painting is finished, now a bit of poly and faces on the bunnies and I'll post a couple pictures this afternoon.

WD, that lovely doiley was crocheted by a friend. I'm not that good at crocheting to even attempt something like that.

Hi Nancy, you did a beautiful job of cutting ! Can't wait to see them painted ! You're quite right, the ears are a bit too delicate, as I found out when I dropped the bunny! "Twice" ! I will correct that before putting the pattern on the web site.

Thanks for all the kind words, y'all, or I'm supposed to say, all y'all to be gramatically correct. LOL

They did turn out pretty well, I posted the finished product under the "bowls, baskets, compound cut" heading.

More WIP pictures will be posted for the bowls w/lids. They are all cut except for the bunny silhouettes for the lids. Gonna be kinda cute, I hope.

Thanks for looking at my "stuff".
