    No just drill on the bottom point. Don't sand it all away on the back of the star, it will help you find the right way to reinstall it.

    Have to clean up the angels to hide the pilot holes better. My smallest bit was too big. Cut with an FDUR#3 in 1/4" 3ply birch
    Nativities will be easier to see when stained for contrast. I used 1" pine and made boxes/display stand from the outer waste.
