Wooden toy Book

I just had the opportunity to review a Wooden Toy Book by Norm Marshal. Cars, trains, airplanes and even a paddle wheeler etc. It requires a few more tools than just a scroll saw.
I believe Ben Fink, who used to do a lot of the test cutting for SSWWC, made most of the projects pictured.

I think I may have a few in my future.

Bob, I think I have to agree with you! WOW you did the Model T series. what did you do with all of them?

Scott any new addiction will have to wait a bit, although I really want to make one of the toys.
But I have to replace the window crank mechanisms on my car and rebuild the window frames both are worn out after 52 year. And car show season is coming up. And sadly I also have to prep my boat for sale.

Rolf, you have your hands into everything, as for the boat, I heard that the 2 best days for a boat is when you buy it and then the day you sell it, RJ

Bob, I think I have to agree with you! WOW you did the Model T series. what did you do with all of them?

I gave each of my nieces and nephews a set and sold the rest for enough money to buy a jointer and my first scroll saw. One person bought all of them.

Bob how did you finish them?

RJ In the last two years we only used the boat twice foe a variety of reasons. Our Village has a ferry that runs over to our beach on Fire Island so we can still get over there during the summer.

I did not finish most of them. For the few that I did finish, I used satin polyurethane thinned 50% mineral spirits wiped on. I didn't care for the finished versions.

I still have some or rather my grandson does and I know where there are several more.

I am starting to twitch, LOL. If I ever get caught up I will make something from that book.

The tanker was the first time I had turned anything on a lathe.
