  • another 3d cut toy

I used the 3d cutting process to make this fuselage of my toy Saberjets. Made about 100 of these so far. I had made them before but had to sand the taper in the sides to get the shape I wanted. This works much better. I make them of 2x4's and each fuselage takes about 6 minutes at the saw to cut. Toy is six inches long. The wings are cut as one seperate piece.

Nice design, simple two pieces. Do you put a finish on them?

No finish. Our club gives away thousands of toys each year for well over ten years now. These 100 saberjets will just be part of the total this year, along with other 3d toys I have made. We give them to two local hospitals,The Salvation Army, and to Ronald McDonald House. 1/2 of them in June and 1/2 of them in December.

When I offer for sale, a few of these, some of the children ask me if it flies. I toss it in the air from one hand to the other and say "yes it does fly....see?"

It is in the garage. Is that enough or do I need to have the door cracked/open? My smell is pretty decent, and there is not much of a smell. I'm running at a very very low amps/volts, so there are no bubbles from the gassing, but I'm a rookie, so I could be killing myself without knowing it. I'm actively...

Blade too close to guard - tension problems

Hi, I've been scroll sawing since 2015, so not really a newbie, but am not sure where to post this - Over the last month I've been having problems with new blades stretching to almost the edge of the guard when I cut, whereas the blade used to always be in the middle of the guard and cut really fast,...

Rick, SuperMax was sold to Laguna. Not sure who is running the show now. You might call SupeMax directly and see if you can get more info. On the other hand, it’s a tool that’s well worth the wait.

Gary, what precursor to the SuperMax?
