          I like your gadgets. I watch for them. Get yourself an O-ring making kit and you will be able to make any size belt you need and it'll give you nice round belts.

              Hi Darcy - sorry but I still can't classify your objects as useless!

              We have a small interactive science museum in our town especially for young kids and one of their displays looks very similar to your pulleys and gears. The only difference is that its bigger and the pulleys and gears are painted bright colours with contrasting spirals on the pulleys. The kids can't resist cranking the end gear around a few times to get those spirals spinning. Maybe we should get my pal Jim to inlay a spiral on the pulleys?
