Hopfully, you have your collection behind glass. Glass helps reduce dust and a little UV protection. Some fading is normal and should be expected. Even museums are constantly fighting the aging process. Just ask my wife!

I would suggest a very mild dish washing soap and probably a q-tip.....but probably the most important is keep it out of direct sunlight...imho
There are still some beautiful people who care in this world, great introduction and the finished piece is a work of art. It should be on display somewhere to show the goid work being done and it should generate more funds. Thanks for the posting.
It can be done using just the scroll saw but I like to use my band saw for the long cut and scroll saw for the short cut on each one of these. I do this with most of the toys I make....
