    Bill.
Lee Valley still carries the Hot Stuff brand. It is quite expensive there and as far as I have been able to find out it is no better than the brand I supplied the link to. Pays to shop around sometimes. .

Thanks William for the link, that is just what I needed. Years ago I was into making balsa airplanes and I used a CA glue called Hot Stuff that worked well. I am glad to know that there are other brands and places to get it.

I am not sure about the formulation of it being the same but it is not the tiny little expensive tubes you see in the hardware and building supply stores . It comes in bottles because larger quantities are needed for woodworking.
It is available from a number of suppliers. Here is just one of them to give you a better idea of the sizing and varieties of it. This site carrys two part epoxyas well as CA glue.

Like most glues it has a shelf life so it is best to get quantiies and / or sizes that will be used up in that time frame.

Are there different CA's for use on wood? Is is different than the crazy glue you get at BORG?

I threw out about a quart and a half of it just last week that was a couple years old in the bottom of a gallon can. I was trying to use it as a CA/BLO finish for lathe turned pens and it wouldn't work work a darn. It had gone thick and lumpy.
I bought a new quart and it works with the CA 100% to my expectations.
Moral of the story is . . . If you are not going to be using large quantiies of it in a short time frame buy quarts of it instead of gallons.

I never thought this stuff went bad?! Got a can of the stuff from my father a few years back and thought it would be with me forever. I am waiting for someone to answer this one as I am curious now.

    Does BLO go bad?

I've got an older can of BLO. Does it ever go bad? What happens to the drying agents with age? Can I just shake the hell out of the can and stir it up or just chunk it in the trash?
