  • Baltic Birch stain

I have tried to stain Baltic Birch plywood but it always looks dull and ugly. Any suggestions on how to get a decent look?

I have used stain and poly with ok results. I've started using Danish oil for almost everything now. If I want a shine, then I spray with clear laquer.

Try using a shellac sealer first it will help clear up the blotchiness of the BB ply.

Then there is the issue of the less computer literate who will have no clue about scaling or have the resources to do so. Maybe for the oversize patterns have an additional scaled copy to fit a standard...
