  • linseed oil

??? Boiled linseed oil. when used as an antiquing glaze, sometimes takes forever to dry. Has anyone discovered a process to reduce this time. (Ever notice at a carving show how some carvings reek of the stuff?) or...
Does anyone know of a suitable substitute that accomplishes the same thing (ie. fill in the unpainted separations between various colors on carrictures) Antique waxes do not produce the same effect.

      Re: linseed oil

Watco Danish Oil is almost the same as linseed oil, only with a drying agent.

It mixes with oil paint, looks like linseed oil finish, drys in 3 hours, no stink... works well for me
