I made a sled for my bandsaw , Take a piece of 3/4" stock and cut a groove the length of the sled (approx. 7" long) and place the dowel in the v groove and hole pressure on the dowel while running it into the blade , Just enough to cut the dowel and not cut all the way across the sled.

Glad they had what you were looking for. I got some really nice box elder there a couple of years ago. When/if I go to Timonium this coming January, I may stop there on the way home.

We finally made it to the woodshop in Sykesville. I got the prettiest piece of box elder that I have had in a long time. Also some walnut and Bruce got squares for his spice grinders. Is wood is air dried, which I like as the walnut as more colors in it. His prices were very reasonable and we saved...

From what I have read the Finnish birch uses a waterproof glue. I have never liked the smell when cutting it and always used a good dust mask with the side filters. I now have my HEPA festool for the dust, no more smell..

This stuff is finished on both sides and the stamp on it says it...

The question of pricing comes up periodically so here is an example.
I just picked up 3 sheets of Finish Birch plywood that I use for my ornaments from my local supplier.
Much to my surprise the price has not gone up. It costs me $44 for a 50 x 50 inch sheet. That is 156 of my normal 4...
