Old wooden plates.

Over the years I've found that cutting old wooden plates can be very rewarding. Most of them are very good wood and when you finish your cut out the plate already has a nice finish on it.. I normally buy mine at yard sales or Good Will whenever I can find them.

Excellent work Eugene! I've bought a few plates from Goodwill, but haven't cut them yet. I also buy almost any wood item that I can get some wood out of for cutting. i.e. coasters, tissue boxes, trays, etc.

I spent a number of years in Florida. Thats where I picked up my love for wood working. I carved this guy while I was living in Pace Florida, just above Pensacola.
