The selection and quality is well worth the trip. Some pictures taken from the balcony where we get our wood. In addition they have 2 40’ buildings out side where they air dry wood for 1 year than put in kiln. I the back is their bandsaw where they mill the trees they get in. This doesn’t show the room where they have ebony at 1200.00 and other expensive woods. They also have a $1 box that I raided to get cut offs for the pastry boards. They are located 10 minutes from where Fox Chaoel had the open house. Groff and Groff.

Talk about eye candy. Who needs Jared's? I am blessed to have The Hardwood Store of NC about 2 hours from me. A couple times a year my wife sees a specialist who is about 40 minutes away from there, so I am often able to combine trips.Scott

I combine trips to visit my brother, who is about 20 minutes away. Of course the mileage to the store is tax deductible.Betty

The only way I could justify the trip (16 hrs one way) would be if Fox Chapel had another open house. Then I could take a side trip to get some of that very nice wood.Comment
