    Hi ,
    I was just wondering Does anyone get wood online ? and if so best uk online store you have found for birch faced ply etc. I cant find any locally available so any suggestions of uk stockist etc would be much appreciated.

    I haven't used them but SL Hardwoods - - are offering a Russian birch plywood which could well be OK. Also they do a range of veneered ply for some pretty effects as well as a range of hardwood timber. And most importantly they do deliveries UK-wide.

      Thanks for that link Chris looks a good source of veneered ply..One thing I was thinking was does veneer cause any problems while sawing like it lifting etc ???

        Without the complete schematic it is hard to know what is correct.
        That said, it is a multispeed blower that obviously has a controller board. That board varies the power to the motor. By doing what you did you bypassed that. You put power across the low and high windings. If any thing connecting...

        If he connected to red and black and the motor spun wouldn't that indicate the motor is grounded? Without connecting the white the circuit isn't complete and the motor should not spin.

        The reason for the smoke is incorrect wiring, posible melted insulation between motor windings and motor frame.
