    A little cheaper down here for ancient kauri. I am paying $54 for one metre of 200 x 100 (8 x 4) which works out at around US$5 per board foot if my maths are correct. Check out the NZ website for the American supplier at

    Priced like Koa is here in the Islands. Sometimes I think some woods are worth more than gold or oil.

    That is some beautiful wood and an incredible story of it's age & how it's harvested. However, at $40 per bd ft, I don't see myself making any Christmas ornaments from it this year.

    Just found this site via a friend on FB. Incredible wood must see to appreciate. Not selling anything myself just a great site with awesome wood.

    Imagine 1200 year old wood that has been buried for over 50,000 years in your hands....Does not get much sweeter than that.
