Books on Wood Identification

Every now and then I run into a piece of wood I can't identify or want to know more about before using it. I have been thinking about getting a book on identifying and describing different kinds of wood.

Does anyone have any recommendations? I would like to see color pictures of the wood and get a description from a woodworker's point of view.
