Pre-Finished flooring

I was offered some quantity of this type of product recently. I know the finish is hard, and may eat up some blades. It seemed a shame to toss. Anybody have any comments on this? Thanks... Bob

Is it prefinished hardwood or laminate flooring?
Any wood that is free is good wood. There are tons of smaller projects you can do with wood flooring.
I can see lots of nameplates for desks, toys for kids, trivets.
You may even want to run it through a thicknes planer or a bandsaw to make the pieces a little thinner.
Laminate flooring is hard, but blades are cheap. You could make some nice candle sconces with laminate flooring.
If the worst thing to happen is you go through lots of blades then you cant go wrong. I still havent used the bamboo flooring I got but I will let you know how it goes once I do. It should be soon, I have to make a birthday present by the end of the month! I am thinking of a candle sconce with chinese figures cut in the bamboo.

Laminate flooring

Thank you for your responce, it is laminate flooring.The item you suggest,candle sconces...I have patterns for some early american types,is that what you had in mind?, curious at how that would look,maybe your idea was different...Bob

They use metal inserts for cutting but the laminate would work for that too
I just finished one using 1/4 wood instead of metal and made it solar powered using a $5 garden light. I beefed up the rechargeable so it works dusk to dawn.
