We picked up ours from woodcraft 3 weeks ago. It was $329 on sale for $199 about a month ago. We had it shipped to the store to avoid shipping charges. The little I got to use it I was quite impressed. Very quiet can hardly hear it. It is on the table next to my saw. The only down side is it blows into my storage closet. If I face it any other way, it will blow on the furnace, hot water heater or across my saw. But that’s no big deal. I was cutting red heart and I could see on the intake filter side closest to my saw a discoloration. Guess that means it’s doing its job! Very happy with it. We bought a drill press when they first came out with them and it is my, Bruce’s, go to drill press and runs like a charm. Only issue is you need to move belts when you change speed. Bruce does that quite well. I would buy anything from Rikon. In fact, Bruce is talking new lathe again. Yeah, we’ll see.

Reply to Wood lampshadeby RolfReally nice work! I personally prefer a Semi gloss or Satin finish. The only time I may use a gloss finish is on some wood turnings.
