I think you will be very pleased with how quiet it is and the filter maintenance is simple.
It is the same size as the WEN unit that I hung from my ceiling yesterday. I found a space in my main work area where I wont hit my head on it.
It is right under our great room floor. I was worried that it would resonate through the floor but it is so quiet you can't hear it at all. It will be interesting to see if it helps.Rolf

I don't know if the Rikon has this, but my JDS air cleaned has a washable pre-filter. I have the original filter plus an aftermarket one I got off of Amazon. I try the wash the filter monthly (with a garden hose). Takes a day to dry. The JDS also has a replaceable internal filter that they recommended replacing annually. I get those aftermarket filters from Amazon as well. Check out the Trophy Air store on Amazon.Scott

I don’t think it has the reusable filters. It can be hung or placed on a table. I think hanging would be the better option, especially by the table saw and lathe on Bruce’s side. He’s going to be limited to what he can do for 6-8 week so I’ll keep it on my side. He goes in for knee replacement Tuesday and the doctor wants him back in 3-4 weeks for the other knee. He’s sanding the box elder now and cutting wood into sizes I’ll need. After all, I plan on getting lots done while he recuperates. The doctor told him he wasn’t sick but recuperating from surgery and he wants his **s out of bed and walking around. He just can’t do steps for awhile. Oh gee, makes me sad.😇😂 He also can’t drive for 3-4 weeks. Now that really makes me sad!Betty

I wish Bruce a speedy recovery. If his recovery is similar as that of a friend he will be up and around in no time at all. My friends is over weight and had both knees done 5 days apart. Physical therapy helpd alot.cwmagee

He did therapy for 4 weeks then at home for another 2 to get his legs ready for the surgery. The therapist called today her first inhome appointment is Thursday. Hopefully the other knee will be within a few weeks. He has an amazing resolve so I expect him not to need the walker or cane in 2 weeks. Thank you for your good thoughts.Betty

I hope not RJ. I think Bruce would run in the other direction. His doctor called tonight to see how he was doing and if he had any questions. How many doctors do that? Shocker, but I am signing off now. We need to be at the hospital at 5am.Betty

Reply to Wood lampshadeby RolfReally nice work! I personally prefer a Semi gloss or Satin finish. The only time I may use a gloss finish is on some wood turnings.
