  • Pegas Fluorescent Magnifier Light

There is now a Fluorescent Magnifier Light for the Pegas Scroll Saw or almost any scroll saw. The light attaches to the back of the table with a clamp. The magnifier is 5 diopter. I have two in stock. The price is $84.70.

In the box photo, I noticed the voltage 220 - 240 V is that correct?

Hi Fibber. Good eyes. I asked Bob Duncan the same thing and no, it is 110. There is a little label on the side. Bob said they are getting new boxes.

Box says there are three diopter lenses, 3x, 5x, 8x
Are there 3 or just the 5x you mention?

Denny, the box says LED, but you described it as fluorescent, and the photo shows LED. Which is it? Also, what's the diameter of the top of the piece that screws up to the underside of the table? The Jet has a small recess in the corner, so this could be an issue. Thanks.

If it comes with all three lenses that would be great. I had an old dumpster dive fluorescent magnifier on my Hawk I was always worried that when I broke a blade that the arm would pop up and break the bulb. I much prefer the newer LED natural color lights.

Hi Carole. This one is fluorescent even though the box says LED. Bob is getting new packaging. There is also an LED. This one I attached to the saw. I haven't tried it yet. The diameter is 1".

Hi Rolf. They also have an LED but I haven't posted it yet.

Hi Scott. The LED is available and I have it on the Saw. Bob Duncan mentioned that some said it was too bright. I will test it on Monday.

I had a fluorescent Mag Light that I was using until I attended the beginner Intarsia Class with JGR, I got to use the LED Mag lamp that she sells. I like it so much that I bought one before returning home. Having used both models, I prefer the LED for a couple of reasons The LEDs do not age like a florescent lamp. The LEDs seem to be more durable.

Too bright? It seems the older I get the more light I need as long as it is not the bluish white that all LED's used to have,
