Water Drip w/Dewalt scroll saw

Is anyone out there using a water drip system with a DeWalt scroll saw? I have several nice 1/4' jade and agate pieces, and I'd like to cut them with a diamond blade. DeWalt does not recommend using a water drip, but it seems like it would be OK, since the motor is in the back.
