  • Dremel Europe Scrollstation Recall

Some of you will no doubt have seen this warning from Alan on the UKWorkshop forum, but for those who haven't I thought it worth repeating here:

Just in case anyone has bought a Dremel Scroll Saw 1800 (Dremel Scrollstation), there has been a product recall notice issued. Details can be found at www.dremel.co.uk. Basically, they advise you not to switch it on as it is possible that the housing may become live, resulting in electrocution.

    Personally, I find this shocking.

(I know, but I just couldn't help myself).

        Good one Kevin,

But have you considered the effect on the steroid wood worms?

A jolt like that would incite anyone to go for many short cuts rather than long ones

Hey! Maybe you could partner with them and have them include one of your patterns with each saw they sell?

        Just thoughts, LOL

        Regards,

          Hi Gill,

This is only for the UK not for the US.

Yes indeed, Mike, it applies to Britain and the rest of Europe. That's why I used the word "Europe" in the thread title.

I understand Gill. Just wanted to make sure.
Some might not have seen that.

PS: I like to check the UK forum, a lot of good information.
