When I got mine home the table itself had to be centered because the blade was touching the side of the hole. Hubby moved it around while I squared from the top. It seems that it sits on a small railing somehow and that is easily moved.

Thanks Crafty and Diane.Been to Ricks site great place. I'll try that Diane, I can't square the blade up the clamps are out of alignment. If I look square with machine lower clamp is slightly to the left.If I can't figure it out will have to return it for service Thanks everyone.

sounds like you got a type 2 from China, they all come screwed up, tables are offset and not centered and the blade clamps aren't aligned either, your going to have to return it to a certified DeWalt repair center only they will be able to repair the saw, under no circumstances should you try to align the clamps and table your self HTH

Sorry to hear about your trouble.Daryl says all the type 2's come screwed up, but I disagree. A lot of them did come screwed up yes, but a lot did come over good as well, though you seldom hear about those.I tinkered with a Type2 at Grizzly store last summer in MO, and checked it out pretty closely, not because I was in the market for one, but to see if the type 2 on their showroom floor had any of the troubles that plagued them lately. The saw had a flat table (actually flatter then the table on any of my Type 1's), and the blade that was in the saw, although it was installed upside down, it had plenty oflength to easily clamp in.Maybe it was a freak incident, but it was a good one. And, about 3 weeks ago at the Milwaukee Rockler store, their Type 2 also seemed fine. I did not run either saw, but visually appeared fine.
I also suggest taking it back for an exchange. Giving them the impression that your either walking out of the store with either a different saw, or your cash back, chances are youll get a different saw. Good luck with it. Dale

I have a type 2 saw that I just bought not long ago and I'm more than happy with it. The table is very flat and the holders were aligned. I got the table squared and she purred real nice. The first thing I checked when I got home was if it was 1 or 2.
Don't let that scare you. The kinks have all been fixed on the type 2. You probably got one that got banged up in transport and that happens on all models.

Hi everyone, got it fixed. When they painted it they left a piece of cardboard on right side of linkage to frame.Acted like a shim, removed it tightened up screws and all lines up great now can get back to scrolling so thanks for all the help, and it is a type 2.

Mine's a type 2 also and no problems other than a slightly off centre hole in the table - not enough to cause problems even when tilted. No issues with the blade holder or flatness.

Oh and it didn't come with the table assembled.

That has got to be the easiest fix I have ever heard of. Glad to hear it was that simple. Now put it to good use.

My stand didn't come assembled either. We got home with it and I told hubby: "you assemble, I scroll ! " which he did and then I did
