Went to an auction of a woodworking shop last weekend. Professional woodworker had died and wife was auctioning all the equipment. Set around for four hours waiting for my main interest, a Hegner Multimax 22V saw. Made in 1995 but looks like new.
Auctioneer started at $200 and had no takers. None at $100. When he dropped to $50 I figured I had better start the ball rolling. When he asked for more bids there were none and hammered it down at $50. On top of this there were blades along with it. Got home and counted almost 40 dozen blades.
Have set everything up and it is running just fine in my shop. I guess clean living pays off some times. Not buying lotto tickets this month because I assume my good luck for the near future has probably been used up. Can't wait to get some projects started!
