I have this router and I like it. I have it mounted in my bench and use it to round over edges of much of my work. I run it through a Harbor Freight speed controler.

I have that router and have used it for many years. With the dovetail fixture included (a $124.00 value), I think its a pretty good deal. One of the things that people don't realize is that this tool will outlast several of the cheaper brands (voice of experience). Collets do wear out. With good tools, they're replaceable. Cheap tools require the whole motor to be replaced. The added advantage is accessories like the D handle, a spare base for a table install, etc. are generally available. I think you'll be happy with it.

I am guessing that your clamps have probably spread due to usage. I am not aware of any aftermarket clamps that fit your saw. Did you look at ereplacementparts.com to see if they sell clamps for your model? Sorry I could not be of more help.

We need to know what saw you are using, as they have different clamps.
